Statute of Limitations

Transcript

Hello, my name is John Dupée, I’m a member of the firm of Dupée & Monroe. When determining whether or not you can bring a personal injury lawsuit, one of the first things a lawyer has to look at is whether the statute of limitations has run. The statute of limitations is the period of time that governs when a lawsuit must be commenced from the date of the accident. Some claims must be commenced within one year after the accident. Other claims don’t need to be commenced until two or three years after the accident has occurred. If you’ve been involved in a personal injury accident, you should contact a lawyer at Dupée & Monroe as soon as possible so we can make sure that your claim can be claimed before the statute of limitations has expired.
